Established in 1978, Art Data specializes in the distribution of publications on contemporary art, architecture, photography, design, theory, fashion and performing arts. We represent a wide range of publishers, including Four Corners Books, Sternberg Press, Rough Trade Books, Buchhandlung Walther und Franz Koenig, The Architectural Association Common Threads Press, A.D.A.Edita Tokyo and CentreCentre, to public galleries and museums, including the Pompidou Centre, Fruitmarket Gallery, John Hansard Gallery, Henry Moore Institute, Ikon Gallery and Nottingham Contemporary, along with galleries such as Annely Juda, The White Cube, Gagosian Gallery and the Prada Foundation.
From the UK, we distribute worldwide, both directly to clients and working with partners in Europe, the Americas, Japan and Australia. We support our publishers in reaching their audience through independent bookshops, museums and galleries, and any and all venues that are happy to have books.
Our website provides access to the Art Data database with over 10,000 titles currently available, many of which we represent exclusively.
We maintain stock and shipping facilities at our offices and warehouse in London, where we are directly and personally involved in every level of operations.
Art Data has worked with art and cultural publications for over 40 years, and we bring our collective expertise and passion for books and creative ventures of all kinds to our work.
While Art Data is primarily a trade distributor, supporting the independent and art book trade, we also welcome individual enquiries and orders.
Art Data welcomes news of publishers & publications. However, with the increasing number of submissions received, we are only able to engage with those with strong potential for our list.
