Marie Lund - The Falling

The Falling was the title of the exhibition staged at Kunstmuseum St.Gallen in 2021–22 by artist Marie Lund. Following her invitation, artist Frederik Worm documented the project through a series of images, taken at different times over the duration of the exhibition. Although abstract in their forms, and still in their presentation, Marie Lund’s sculptures resonate by their materiality, and are conducive to words. Responding to their specific presence, Frederik Worm developed a suite of photographs as a kinetic trip through the works; favoring proximity and oblique perspectives, blurring the relation between the sculptures and the spaces they inhabit. The publication, imagined by London design group Abake, is both an experience of the space and time of the exhibition and a record of the artists’ intimate conversation through their respective mediums.
