Published on the occasion of a show curated by Melania Gazzotti at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York, this book is filled with the vibrant colours and bold shapes that characterise the work of two illustrators, Emiliano Ponzi and Olimpia Zagnoli. Italian in origin, Zagnoli has lived in New York, drawing inspiration from its types and tropes. Ponzi is based in Milan, but has repeatedly visited the United States. Both of them have had illustrations regularly featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Penguin Books, the New Yorker, Newsweek, and more. Besides illustrations, the book includes interviews with each artist about their work, plus short biographies.
