Unfrozen - A Design Research Reader By The Swiss Design Network

The essays collected in this volume explore a broad number of approaches to design research, from historical and critical perspectives on the subject to overviews of the social conditions of design and the theories and instruments of co-design. Additionally, it contains investigations of design research practices, offers examples of concrete projects and developments, and seeks the connections between the material and digital worlds. With an introduction by Arne Scheuermann and contributions from a wide range of designers and experts, the publication presents a selection of research projects that were initially presented at the first SDN Design Research Summit in 2016.
