The picture across the last two pages of this issue shows a young Nobuyoshi and Yoko Araki, an image which Araki had pasted into a scrapbook he had with him when recently meeting Moriyama for the first time in years. Moriyama seized the opportunity to make a copy of it, and immediately asked him for permission to include it in the next issue of 'Record'. After a moment's pause, Araki encouraged him to use it: "That's what photos are for, you know." As Moriyama describes him, Araki is a person with a natural attitude toward taking and showing photographs, and as such he has absolutely understood the nature of photography as a domain of endlessly repeated copying.
