Junya Ishigami is among the most experimental of the younger generation of Japanese architects. His designs often take inspiration from plants and natural phenomena, resulting in radical curves and poetic visions seemingly doomed to remain in the realm of installation art or sketches, structures that should be impossible to realise. Ishigami, however, is gaining a fast-growing international reputation, with recent commissions in places like Moscow and Sydney. 'PLOT 08' features works and projects from the last decade: from 'KAIT Workshop' to 'Water Garden' more than 20 projects are included. Please note that all texts in this publication are exclusively in Japanese.
