This second volume of the catalogue dedicated to the collection of digital art at the Espace Multimedia Gantner in Bourogne presents 23 new acquisitions as well as a glossary and two previously unpublished essays on the place of digital art in contemporary art and issues of conservation and restoration. The collection, conceived by art historian Bertrand Gauguet in 2004, is intended as a way to share digital art with the wider public and in places not necessarily devoted to art. The book takes stock of the collection after a decade of regular acquisitions and examines both the near absence of digital art in today's collections and the act of collecting in the era of programmed obsolescence.
