Established in Lima since 2006, the studio Barclay & Crousse focuses its efforts on the analysis of the connections between landscape, climate, and architecture, working with volumes of refined brutalism that defy cliches of technique, function, and quality of life. This first monographic issue of Arquitectura Viva presents the four most important recent works by the Peruvian studio: the Lecture Hall for the University of Piura, the Site Museum of Paracas Culture in Ica, House C3 in Ancon, and the NU Apartment Building in Lima. The magazine's dossier is devoted to colour in architecture, with recent works by BIG, Sauerbruch Hutton, Jean Nouvel, and b720 arquitectos.
