Contemporary illustrator Akira Yamaguchi straddles an exceptional range of styles in his work, yet still relies heavily on the traditions of Japanese drawing and scenery. This anthology consists of more than 1,000 illustrations that were captioned or imbued with narrative by esteemed writer Hiroyuki Itsuki in a collaborative effort that was serialised in around 40 local newspapers in Japan. The result is an often humorous and powerful snippet of Itsuki's prowess and Yamaguchi's boundless imagination, expressed in formats ranging from cut, manga, print, new characters, bad news items, and much, much more.
