Cinematic Architecture looks at the unconventional process of architectural teaching and research of AA Diploma Unit 3 over the past fifteen years. Following Pascal Schoning's Manifesto for a Cinematic Architecture (Architectural Association, 2005), which laid out the theoretical context for the work, Cinematic Architecture 1993-2008 consists of a selection of student projects, related installations and critical essays. It is an attempt to define Cinematic Architecture through the work itself, or as Pascal would put it, 'To confuse even more!' The book is edited by Pascal Schoning, Julian Loffler, Rubens Azevedo and it will form the basis for a cinematic colloquium to take place at the AA on the day of its launch on 15 May 2009.
