Spread By Spread

The abstract works by the design team known as Spread transcend the conventional boundaries of commercial and spatial design. They take on a life of their own, highly environmental organisms that awaken hidden memories and display unanticipated workings. Hirokazu Kobayashi and Haruna Yamada started Spread in 2004, bringing their respective experiences in landscape and graphic design together in a new creative practice. Using bright colours as large-scale elements in space, their projects can generate playful social atmospheres or convey complex archives of information for broad public and international audiences.
