Volume 07 of Edition Lenbachhaus is dedicated to a major work of the collection of the Munich municipal gallery: the environment "zeige deine Wunde" ("show your Wound") by Joseph Beuys. The 1979 purchase of the work, followed by a heated public debate on the value of contemporary art, was the beginning of Lenbachhaus' long relationship with the artist Joseph Beuys (1921- 1986) pursued to this day with new acquisitions, publications, and exhibitions.
