Edited by Hans Tan, 'Forager Things' is inspired by the apocalyptic scenarios we see in films, where survivors assemble essential products by foraging for things around them, using parts and objects in unexpected ways. The book challenges us to consider a possible future where society must relearn how to build and connect through analogue means. The "compositional products" encourage us to recondition our perspectives on mass-produced items, while the "experiential mails", designed by students from the National University of Singapore, shift the significance of a letter being a message communicated through words or images to a constructed, purposeful experience.
