'Time Encircled' brings together Rody Luton's artistic practice in its diversity: painting, photography, drawing, mixed media. Covering three decades, the book invites a dialogue across time as well as mediums. The monograph presents the British/New Zealander artist's oeuvre as a journey of exploration, as if wandering in a landscape, encountering both human-made and natural environments. Luton has been based in Amsterdam since the mid-1980s and takes inspiration from different cultures as well as the natural world, drawing from her experiences as an artist-in-residence in the United States, India, and Japan. The book includes a preface by Luton and a text by Mark Kremer.
