Architecture and welfare are both based on the wish to provide a good life for the individual and the community. This book is about welfare design and designing for welfare, focusing on the developments in Danish society, and their current and historical implications. The articles in this anthology explore how architecture, space, planning, and design interacts with and contributes to positive developments in society, and also discusses the universal problems and potentials of future welfare challenges. The original working group for 'Forming Welfare' was first set up in 2010-2011 at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture.
