Best known for his work for the New Yorker, Saul Steinberg (1914-1999) was an Romanian-American artist whose long career encompassed works in a wide range of media, making his work hard to place. The Saul Steinberg Foundation donated a large collection of his works to the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense in Milan, paying homage to the eight years the artist spent in Milan which laid the foundations of his vision. Starting from the works now in the Brera collection, this book showcases Steinberg's life and works alongside texts of conversations with his friend, Aldo Buzzi. Also included are texts by James M. Bradburne, Francesca Pellicciari, Ilaria Bollati, and Roberto Dulio.
