Uxua Utopia - A very gifted Guesthouse

Uxua is a special hotel in Brazil, designed by Dutch fashion designer Wilbert Das and his partner, Bob Shevlin. A sensory experiment in sustainable design and progressive social values, the hotel's visibility and profits are used to finance various local education and environmental organisations. Food is elevated to a rare level and crafted artefacts can be found everywhere. The book is designed as a testimony for the future, on how an ideal society could live together in harmony and with nature. The project's holistic quality invites further investigation of its essential pillars of hospitality and humanity, care and well-being, education and aesthetics, design and craft and empowerment.
