Shahriar Tavakoli - Bright Nights

Active as a photographer since 1992, Shahriar Tavakoli is fascinated by light and darkness, and enchants us with both. Although mostly focused on nature and urban landscapes, several types or genres of photography intermingle in his images, including landscape, rough, family portraiture, and mise-en-scene. By blending their expressive features, he opens the linear horizon of the images, making them fluid and flowing. With light, he helps us discover the secrets of darkness, while in darkness, he reveals the secrets of light. 'Bright Nights' is a tribute to his unique vision and unbridled passion for the medium, where Tavakoli also adds personal commentary to many of his photographs.
