Notebook Gilan 2024

This is a notebook featuring Gilan, a lush province in northern Iran that lies along the Caspian Sea. Known for its beaches, forests, mountains, and fertile plains, this region also has a rich history dating back to the Iron Age. Starting with a poetic introduction in English, the notebook contains both lined and graph pages. Scattered throughout are Ayla Shabazi's whimsical sketches of the people of Gilan, unique scenes from the region, and other distinctive details rooted in her cultural heritage. Fusing traditional and contemporary elements together expertly, the Persian illustrator has also created other notebooks inspired by cities in Iran.
