AV Proyectos 126 - Ultima Abstraccion

The magazine returns to the terrain of architectural language in this issue, presenting projects associated with abstraction. In the field of architecture, figuration and abstraction have been opposite poles of a debate highlighting the tension between tradition and modernity. And while the divide between expressive and geometric abstraction is obvious, in architecture the distinction is more complex. This issue examines several exemplary works, including a house in Portugal by Aires Mateus, NEAC Visitor Centre in the Netherlands by KAAN Architecten, and the control building for a solar plant in Turkey.
