Ilona Plaum - Presence

This first monograph on the work of Ilona Plaum, published by Jap Sam Books accompanies the eponymous solo exhibition at Huis Marseille, Amsterdam. (15 February - 22 June 2025) Drawing, painting, sculpture and photography - all these techniques are brought together into a single image within Ilona Plaum's artistic practice. In her exploration of the possibilities of perception, her hand remains deliberately visible. A photographic diorama emerges in which the movement of organic life is central and which, through the fusion of different techniques and perspectives, challenges your perception.
