Fred Sandback - Threading Space

Fred Sandback's practice was singular in its consistent use of thread and rods. This publication brings together newly commissioned essays and historical writings that examine the artist's radically minimal yet spatially expansive sculptural practice. Designed by Filiep Tacq to reflect the subtlety and precision of Sandback's work, the book, edited by Lilian Tone, includes contributions by Nuria Enguita, Delfim Sardo, Philip Ursprung, Joan Simon, and Sandback himself as well as previously unpublished documentation. Across theoretical reflection, personal recollection, and historical contextualisation, the texts explore the artist's signature use of acrylic yarn to draw space itself.
