A Tremor in the System - Chronicles of the Crisis 2007-2013

'Chronicles of the Crisis' presents a selection of texts written between 1976 and 2020. Following on previous manifestations, this first of two new volumes begins with the mortgage crisis, the financial shock of 2008, and the Great Recession that followed, a period marked by austerity policies and popular indignation against elites. It draws from 'AV Monographs' and 'Arquitectura Viva', the sister magazines that editor Luis Fernandez-Galiano has helmed since their creation in 1985. Chronicles of architecture, but also records of the past half-century in Spain and the world at large, with articles as a testimony of these hope-filled, brilliant, and tumultuous years.
