The Land Remembers

This publication is a living archive and the legacy of 'The Land Remembers', the Lebanese Pavilion at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale. Urgently responding to Lebanon's environmental and social destruction, it moves beyond documentation to propose ways of healing through land intelligence. At its core, it asks: How can we heal the land to build for future generations? Contributors present diverse responses through essays, interviews, creative writing, and visual materials - including infographics, maps, botanical watercolours, and illustrations. Layering perspectives, the work highlights the deep ties between conflict and nature, asserting that a symbiotic relationship with the land must precede any architectural intervention.
