The results of the 1st European Collective Housing Award launched to promote this distinctively European feature of housing culture.
At a time when access to affordable housing is becoming increasingly scarce across Europe, it is important to acknowledge that Europe has a long tradition of collective and public housing: a unique "housing culture" that has made an essential contribution to shaping the European city. This book compiles the results of the 1st European Collective Housing Award, a Spanish-French initiative launched to promote collective housing as a distinctive feature of European identity and the European welfare state.
