Illustrators Annual 2026

A key reference for discovering emerging trends and talents in illustration, the Illustrators Exhibition of the Bologna Children's Book Fair celebrates its 60th edition in 2026. Illustrators Annual 2026 presents the work of 75 artists selected from more than 4,000 submissions from 94 countries. The richly illustrated catalogue offers a global overview of contemporary illustration, united by creativity and emotional impact. Selected by an international jury, the volume also features texts by its members and an essay by Shaun Tan. Marking the exhibition's anniversary, a special section curated by Paola Vassalli traces its history and evolving styles across six decades.
