Architecture in the Netherlands - Yearbook 2025 / 2026

In this selection of 25 projects representing new architecture found throughout the Netherlands, the capital city of Amsterdam claims an emphatic leading role. Along with several prominent public projects, the number of buildings constructed in wood and brick is also noteworthy. To rank the selections, the editorial team's metaphorical role of "architecture thermometer" was taken literally: projects are grouped from warm and warmer to warmest. Highlights include the National Holocaust Museum by Office Winhov, Light House by studioninedots, SAWA by Mei architects and planners, and Fenix by MAD Architects, a stunning new art museum in Rotterdam about migration.
