Archive of Contextualism

The material presented here was first shown at the 2024 exhibition 'In the Making' at the Royal Danish Academy. A previous iteration of this material invited teachers and researchers affiliated with the programme Complexity & Practice to contribute to an archive of reflections on the notion of context. This book explores whether it is still meaningful to speak of an archive, now that the publication is going beyond the academy. Is this a book about student work, or a reflection shaped through it? Without providing definitive answers, this archive aims to open a broader conversation about the planet we inhabit, and about how architects approach the spaces we share with other lifeforms.
